As a dedicated professional with over 17 years experience in private practice as a licensed massage therapist, Marilyn specializes in therapeutic massage. This type of body work offers relief of muscle tension and stiffness, fosters faster healing of strained muscles, enhances athletic performance, promotes deeper and easier breathing and improves circulation. Marilyn is certified to perform such treatment techniques as Sports Massage, Deep Muscle Therapy, Myofascial Trigger Point Release, Deep Connective Tissue Massage, Acupressure and Elder Massage.
During her affiliation with Ridgewood Physical Therapy and Fitness One to One for the past 5 years, Marilyn has worked with injuries such as rotator cuff, knee and hip replacements, carpal tunnel syndrome and spinal problems. She maintains clients with special needs such as those with MS, ALS, Parkinson’s disease, fibromyalgia and nerve disorders. She has worked in nursing homes and senior centers for 10 years, performing massage therapy to increase circulation and promote good health. In addition, Marilyn’s practice also includes several professional athletes.
Marilyn provides her clientele with personalized, custom massage sessions which improve overall well being, resolve problem areas and encourage rejuvenation. It is her mission to positively affect her clients’ physical state and sense of wellness.
The cost is $80 per hourly session. Home visits and gift certificates are available.
