Everyone deserves the opportunity to feel good. When our body, mind and spirit are in balance, we are at our best. When our energy centers are open, we are creative. When we release that which we no longer need, our bodies are at ease. Massage and bodywork should not be a luxury, but rather a step on the path toward optimal health and well-being.

Swedish Massage:
The term "Swedish Massage" refers to a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones, and rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart. The main purpose of Swedish massage is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles. Swedish massage shortens recovery time from muscular strain by flushing the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes. It increases circulation without increasing heart load. It stretches the ligaments and tendons keeping them supple and pliable. Swedish massage also stimulates the skin and nervous system and soothes the nerves themselves at the same time. It reduces stress, both emotional and physical, and is suggested in a regular program for stress management. Swedish massage feels good, is relaxing and invigorating. It affects the nerves, muscles, glands, and circulation, while promoting health and well being.

Deep Tissue Massage:
Deep Tissue Massage is a massage technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fiber's of the muscles, tendons and fascia. Deep tissue massage helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue. This massage usually focuses on more specific areas and may cause some soreness during or right after the massage. However, if the massage is done correctly you should feel better than ever within a day or two. It feels good and it is beneficial to your health. When muscles are stressed, they block oxygen and nutrients, leading to inflammation that builds up toxins in the muscle tissue. A deep-tissue massage helps loosen muscle tissues, release toxins from muscles and get blood and oxygen circulating properly. Because many toxins are released, it's important to drink plenty of water after a deep-tissue session to help eliminate these toxins from the body. The purpose is to "unstick" the fibers of a muscle while releasing deeply-held patterns of tension, removing toxins, while relaxing and soothing the muscle. It is both corrective and therapeutic.

Hot Stone Massage:
Hot Stone Massage is one of the oldest forms of body therapy. Water-heated stones are placed strategically along the body to help tight muscles release. A thin towel or sheet is used between the stones and the body to ensure that the temperature is comfortable. Traditional Swedish strokes are used in combination with soothing hot stones to massage the body. Regular massage oil and essential oils are used to enhance the healing quality of the stones. Small cold stones are placed on the face. In addition to releasing tight muscles, a hot stone massage will open up and balance your seven chakra points bringing you into a state of wonderfully deep relaxation.

Chakra Balancing with Crystals:
There are seven major Chakras or Energy Vortexes that run along the main line of our body – from the base of our spine to the top of our head. They are centers of activity that receive, assimilate and express life force energy. They are responsible for the person's physical, mental, emotional and spiritual functions. When operating at their optimal level, these energy vortexes spin in a clockwise direction. When one or more of the chakras are blocked and the energy does not flow harmoniously through them, it usually results in an imbalance that is manifested in all areas of life. Each chakra is expressed on the physical body in one of the endocrine glands that regulate physical and emotional processes in the body. The imbalance in the chakra will also be expressed in the endocrine gland linked to it.
The Chakras can be accessed through a variety of different ways. I use a Pendulum and crystals to properly open and balance the Chakras.. Crystals have always been prized for their beauty and their healing and spiritual properties. Science has yet to determine what happens during crystal healing, but changes felt by the participants and the lasting benefits gained are indisputable. A popular theory is that crystals actually vibrate at the same pitch as people, and can be used to relieve suffering because the resonance between the patient and the stone either combats the vibration of illness or amplifies those of health.

Reiki:
Reiki is a Japanese technique that is thousands of years old. It aids the body in relaxing and releasing stresses. The word Reiki is a combination of two words (Rei and Ki) that mean Universal Life Force. It is administered by a "laying of hands" and is based on the idea if one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Through relaxation and release, Reiki promotes healing on all levels: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Reiki practitioners are channels for this powerful healing energy. My experience as well as many of my clients is that a Reiki treatment provides a profound sense of peace and well-being. Often times a vibrating sensation around problem areas is described along with pain relief.
I have also found that aligning the crystals along the seven major charkas provides additional healing energy throughout the treatment.

Raindrop Technique ®
The Raindrop Technique®, developed by D. Gary Young, N.D. and a Lakota medicine man almost two decades ago, uses a sequence of nine highly immune enhancing essential oils. They are dropped like rain from a height of about 6 inches onto the spine and then lightly massaged in using various hand to body techniques. This stimulates energy impulses and disperses the oils along the nervous system throughout the entire body.
We all carry immune system depleting viruses and bacteria. Essential oils applied to the spinal column are absorbed through the nerves that feed the entire body. Wonderfully soothing, nurturing and relaxing, the Raindrop Technique® can work its benefits in the body for days, weeks or months. With essential oils applied via the Raindrop Technique®, the body can be brought into balance and the energy centers can be cleared and re-aligned. The Raindrop Technique® also helps reduce spinal inflammation, creates an inhospitable environment for the viruses that hibernate along the spinal column, and may help to straighten any spinal curvatures. Although a session lasts about 45 minutes to an hour, the oils will continue to work in the body for a minimum of a week following the treatment.
